Lush Fresh Floral Garland with Locally Grown Dahlia at the Detroit Athletic Club

When Danielle sent her inspiration photos along I knew right away we were going to get along fine.  This is far and away my favorite pallet with rich dark plums and red mixed in with pops of coral, peach and softness of white and blush.  Like a feast for the eyes allowing each bloom to show off rather then blend in.  The head table garland was my favorite design of the day featuring 24+ feet of foliage garland adorned with hundreds of locally grown dahlia from Summer Dreams Farms and oh so many garden roses including Romantik Antik, Juliet and patience.  The above amateur photo is by yours truly but all of the really great ones below are by the talented Tamara of

Centerpieces were a mix of gold mercury glass compotes like these from accent decor and candelabra  The deep plum dahlia are called "Ivanetti the white with blush tips are called midnight moon.
