I have stumbled into the cure for Snowpocolyse: The first Chapel Designers California Conference !!
I am seriously so blessed to be a part of this amazing group of talented florist from around the country This Santa Barbara conference was my 3rd The first 2 were in New York you can see here and here
On our first day at the stunning Sunstone Villa and Winery in Santa Ynez, CA Holly Heider Chapple, Founder of the Chapel Designers and owner of Holly Chapple Flowers in Loudoun County VA, instructed us in the art of the Full Bouquet which happens to also be the name of her blog.
I designed this bouquet working to make sure it stayed airy and whimsical with an asymmetrical wandering cascade of jasmine vine and sweet peas. Holly's bouquets are always full of texture and interest. Ingredients included privet berries, seeded eucalyptus, scented geranium, ranunculus, sea star fern , juliet garden roses, astilbe, and protea (sugarbush), and spray roses.
Not only did we learn from Holly but she brought along her Genius friends Nancy Liu Chin, Francoise Weeks, Alicia Schwede, and Joseph Massie. I will post photos from those classes as the become available.
Joost of Florabundance co hosted and supplied the gorgeous flowers. Jen Campbell of Green Wedding Shoes popped by to answer our questions about submitting and her fabulous blog.
Photographers James and Diana Marie Prunean were on site generously photographing the event and talking to us about branding and photography. In addition the amazing Kevin Chin had his camera rolling to capture the magic. He will be working on two very special films for us. LUCKY!!!! Check out the villa below, Man I wish I were still there!
