These Juicy bouts were designed for Meghan and Greg Hart (CONGRATS NEWLY WEDS!!) these are actually the fathers and grandfathers boutonnieres the groomsmen wore button bouts like this one:
The button boutonnieres were so fun to make I just love being crafty and finding ways to reuse all these odds and ends from sewing days gone by. I stopped into FOUND the vintage finds shop in Kerrytown to scoop up some extra buttons for the project. Mary the owner of that shop is so helpful I always "find" more than I should there and she gives me a great deal for being such a spendy customer. Thanks Mary!

Recap the Amazing Botanical Gardens Wedding
Sweet Pea designed the bouquets and boutonnieres for this amazing DIY botanical gardens wedding. I am blogging about it for a second time because the pro photos appeared and they are so good. I just love the way the chartreuse maids dresses were a perfect match to the bulplerum in the bouquet and the mini green leucadendron in the boutonnieres. Ann Arbor's Botanical Gardens is luscious I am looking forward to visiting this winter when I get a case of the grays and blues.

Ypsilanti District Library Get out the Vote Flowers!!
Vote Vote Vote |
VOTE VOTE VOTE!! Inspired by the Ypsi Library Millage This arrangement in a pumpkin graced the table at Angie's Friend and Fundraiser last Friday. The library depends on property tax dollars to pay for its day to day operations and with property values down they have taken a blow to the bottom line. I'm headed out to vote for the millage after work today and to vote for ANGELA MOLONEY for library board. She is young energetic creative and AWESOME!! Vote with me ~Pea

Bridal Bouquet gone WILD!! Who says fall colors are drab...
Designed this WILD bouquet for Megan's cobblestone farms wedding. It was inspired by CSA flowers from earlier this season. Thank's to Meg's relaxed vision I was free to go snag all of the most perky and charismatic flowers from the market. Orange dahlia, coral zinnia, fuchsia anemone, purple sweet pea, red cockscomb, red and green ranunculus, scabiosa pods, english lavender, and veronica...gasp.
Really Really fun to make!! I love being an Ann Arbor florist I get the most free and creative brides who let me design some seriously outrageous bouquets. This is the same wedding that gave rise the herb boutonnieres that I blogged last week: here

An Arbor of Flowers for Allison and Chet's Fall Wedding
I just adore the color choices that Allison made for her fall wedding. My favorite of all the designs we prepared for their big day was this arbor. It was pretty chilly while we were arranging it and honestly my hands were numb when I finished but it was worth it!! Arbor decor includes trachillium, dahlia, smokebush, roses and ruscus. ~Congrats Allison and Chet best wishes for an awesome life toghether!!

Congratulations Julia and Sam!!
What an Event! Seriously one of my favorite bridal bouquets of all time (so much color!!) It was a blast to design for this wedding at Sharon Mills. The Mills is a gorgeous place for a wedding it was build in 1835 and restored by Henry Ford in the 1930s!! All six of the above photographs are by Dustin Francis It was really fun getting to know Julia and her mom what delightful clients (all of mine are of course) If you are planning your wedding in the Ann Arbor area for next season and relish and outdoor affair check out Sharon Mills.
Brides bouquet features cymbidium orchids (orange) celosia (burgundy) scabiosa pods, lisianthus, rununculus, buplerum and seeded eucalyptus.
